About

Pineaires Resort is a family and retirement campground located on Sandy Lake!

Sandy Lake

Nestled between Pigeon Lake and Buckhorn Lake, Sandy Lake is landlocked, and not part of the Trent Severn Waterway. A small creek at the south end of the lake, known as Sandy Creek, flows from Sandy Lake to Buckhorn Lake - this is a beautiful paddle, although it requires a short portage over a beaver dam. As this passage is not accessible with motor boat, Sandy Lake has very little boat traffic, making it an ideal spot for paddle sport! The spring fed lake has a natural limestone bottom - this keeps the lake seaweed free, gives the lake its unique turquoise colour, and its Caribbean feel.

Fishing

Sandy Lake is a hidden gem for fishing! Both novice and accomplished fisherman will enjoy fishing for: blue gill, sun fish, small mouth, large mouth, walleye, muskie. Please note fishing is not permitted along the shoreline or off of boat docks - at the boat launch we have a designated fishing dock.

Pets

Please note dogs are not permitted at Pineaires Resort. Cats are permitted but must be leashed if outdoors.

Transient (Overnight) Camping

We have three overnight trailer sites (hydro, water, sewer), and 4 overnight tent/tent trailer sites (hydro, water). We do not have a dump station on site. Please note our overnight sites are reserved for friends/family of our seasonal campers and cottagers only. They are not available to the general public.
